Heinrich Klassen going for RR this IPL

CA banned David Warner and Steve Smith for 12 months and recently the RR's head of cricket said that South African Heinrich Klassen is going as get someone who can play spin well because we are pretty sure that spinner will have a big role to play during IPL. Bharucha told the Times Of India.



Klaasen is an amazing player against spin. And he has a vast array of shots which tempted us to go for him. He plays the reverse sweep very well something that will be quite useful in the IPL.
Bharuncha explained why he chose Klassen ahead of anybody else
Smith will be back with us next year and we did not want to end up with two similar players. Our idea was to build the team keeping 3 years in mind. Even after Smith is back Klassen will be very useful for us.

Kohli to play county cricket as preparation for England tests

Having learned a lesson in South Africa about how inadequate preparation could impact test result, the BCCI has granted Virat Kohli permission to play county cricket this summer, ahead of India's 5 test tour of England beginning in August. The decision might mean that Kohli misses India's one of the test against Afghanistan, which is scheduled between June 14 and 18 in Bengaluru. It is not yet known which county kohli might play for before he joins the India Squad for the limited overs leg of the England tour in July. Though he has been linked to Surrey, the London based county has not signed or held any talks with Kohli recently. It is understood that Surrey had asked BCCI about kohli's availability as an overseas player last year, but Indian board had said he would not be available because of the Afghanistan test, and T20s against Ireland at the end of June.
